Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, is seeking a friendly Server for Ivy Park at Sabre Springs in San Diego. You will serve residents and visitors with courtesy and efficiency, while supporting dining operations and upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

We offer benefits across California communities and provide training for the right candidate. Candidates must be 16+ with a work permit and able to pass background checks and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but training will be provided.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• Ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Willingness to pass background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS.
• Set up and break down tables as needed.
• Maintain safe and sanitary dining and kitchen areas.

The Server is responsible for serving food in a friendly, courteous manner, and performing a variety of duties in and around the dining area and kitchen in order to enhance the customers' experience, in accordance with the company�s mission, and values.

Responsibilities:

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests� food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer).
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.).
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
