Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Odessa, TX seeks an experienced supervisor for the Police Department to oversee patrols, investigations, and campus security operations. The role involves managing police personnel on rotating shifts and coordinating with other law enforcement and campus entities.
A candidate will need 15 college hours and at least 3 years as a TTUHSC Police Officer or 5 years as a commissioned officer; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Performs responsible supervisory and patrol work involving the security of University property or may be assigned specifically to detective investigative work. Usual duties involve the active supervision of the police personnel assigned to the Sergeant on a rotating shift. When specially assigned, a detective in this classification performs follow up investigations of crimes, presents crime prevention educational programs, and maintains contacts with other law enforcement, campus and community entities. Supervises varied security personnel.
