Job summary

ASML US in Wilton, CT seeks a Sequence Engineer to specify, design, develop, realize, integrate, and test modules and tools within system specifications and project plans. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely realization of sub-modules for competitive products.

Responsibilities include BOM/BOP management, reviewing procedures, training programs, and supporting new product introductions with lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 0–2+ years experience in related field preferred.
  • Experience creating and managing Bill of Materials in engineering/manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Teamcenter Manufacturing Process Planner, and SAP is a plus.

  • Work with Change Control Board and stakeholders to develop BOMs, sequences, and routings for smooth manufacturing flow.
  • Create and manage BOMs and BOPs in Teamcenter.
  • Review manufacturing procedures, data collection, and tooling specifications.
  • Define and deliver training programs for new sequence engineering methods.

The Sequence Engineer will specify, design, develop, realize, integrate, and test (sub-)modules / tools, in cooperation with other disciplines and suppliers, within the limits of system specifications, costs, and project planning, to ensure the timely realization of (sub-)modules as part of competitive, achievable, and serviceable products.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Work with the Change Control Board, which includes D&E, Production Engineers, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders, in compliance with ASML's Configuration Management processes to develop optimal bills of material, sequences, and routings that enable a smooth manufacturing flow.
  • Create and manage bills of materials (BOMs) and bills of process (BOPs) in Teamcenter
  • Review manufacturing procedures, data collection, automated torque tooling, and specifications.
  • Define, create, and deliver training programs for new way of working for sequence engineering department
  • Work with managers and PEs to maintain and update labor and cycle time targets.
  • Work with master data control team in setting up a new manufacturing process flow during new product introduction (NPI) phase.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering with 0-2+ years experience, or equivalent working and thinking level. In-depth knowledge of own tasks within own area of expertise and basic sub-module & module knowledge
  • Experience in creating and managing Bill of Materials in engineering and manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with Teamcenter, Teamcenter Manufacturing Process Planner, and SAP is a plus.
  • Experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment is a plus

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • May require travel dependent on business needs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Role within the Factory:

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.
  • There is a potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents within the cleanroom.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Can work under deadlines.
  • The environment is generally moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
