United Site Services is seeking a Septic Technician to operate a company service truck and service septic tanks across client locations. CDL Class A or B with manual transmission is required. The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and accurate paperwork, with daily route planning and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Wash truck weekly (inside & outside).
• Complete paperwork: pricing, locations, conditions.
• Daily pre- and post-trip inspections; ensure supplies loaded.
• Review and map out next day jobs.
• Complete DOT forms.
• Follow the septic service guideline.
• Use tank access for routine cleaning.
• Observe tank liquid level and waste removal.
• Notify customer of any unsatisfactory conditions in writing.
• Attend training opportunities as requested.

Primary Purpose

The Septic Technician operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to service/pump septic tanks. This is the heart of our business, so this job is very important to us.

Requires Class A or B CDL Driver for MANUAL transmission (stick shift) Truck

Essential Functions

• Wash truck weekly - inside & out
• Complete paperwork -- pricing, locations, conditions
• Daily pre & post-trip -- (check fluids & tires). Confirm all supplies are loaded on the truck
• Review and map out next day jobs
• Daily DOT forms to be completed
• Complete the Ten-point septic service guideline
• Use the tank's main access (largest opening) for routine cleaning, if accessible
• Observe the liquid level in the tank to determine if it is above the outlet
• Remove waste to within two inches of the tank bottom
• Notify the customer when sewage flows into the tank from the drainage area
• Observe and note defective septic system components on work order
• Recommend any Maintenance or Service using the Optional Service Sheet
• Notify the customer in writing of any unsatisfactory conditions observed
• Attend training opportunities as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range

$25.08 – $35.12 / hour

Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications.
