Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an SEO Manager, Veterinary to own search for veterinary clients, guiding the technical roadmap, content priorities, and ranking narrative for the client. You will be the strategic voice, making the calls.

You will own technical SEO, keyword strategy, AI-assisted drafts with writers, and reporting in GA4 and Search Console, including quarterly client roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on SEO with audits and fixes completed.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience handling multiple clients simultaneously.
• Clear spoken English for live calls with US clients.
• Veterinary or multi-location SEO experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema, architecture.
• Develop keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers/AI drafts.
• Improve visibility in AI search and classic organic results.
• Manage links, local search, and multi-location SEO for clients.
• Deliver GA4 and Search Console reporting; set quarterly roadmaps.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency. As SEO Manager, Veterinary you own search for a book of veterinary clients (veterinary groups and multi-clinic practices): the technical roadmap, the content priorities and the ranking story when the client asks what moved. You are the strategic voice at the table, and you make the calls.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands‑on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for veterinary or similar multi‑location businesses is a strong plus.
