Job summary
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Utah and Alabama seeks a Systems Engineer (level 2) or Principal Systems Engineer (level 3) to support the Sentinel Program. You will collaborate across IPTs to define requirements, develop architecture, and manage interfaces for complex aerospace systems.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of applicable engineering experience; Master’s degree and 0 years.

- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- 1+ year of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or a similar tool.
- 1+ year of experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Systems Engineer (level 2)/Principal Systems Engineer (level 3) to join its team in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production, and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
The selected engineer will be supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.

- 2 years of experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems.
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
- Experience in SysML or UPDM modeling languages
- Proficiency with the DoDAF, UAF, or other modeling frameworks
- Experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture, MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc.) or other architecture modeling tools
- Experience using tools to model large systems with multiple developers
- Experience in Software and/or Hardware design
- Experience in documenting Interface Control Documents, Interface Requirement Specifications, and Interface Description Documents
- Experience in the military aerospace development environment
- Experience with weapon systems
- Experience exporting documentation out of a model-based environment
- Experience with Agile Development
- Experience with ICBM weapon system sustainment engineering and integration

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00–$118,900.00.
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00–$147,600.00.
