As the operator of a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC), we are broadly engaged across all aspects of space— delivering innovative solutions that span satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil and commercial customers. When you join our team, you’ll be part of a special collection of problem solvers, thought leaders, and innovators. Join us and take your place in space.

The Defense Systems Group (DSG) provides analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy and strategy, development planning, system of systems engineering, and threat reduction to help shape the future space missions across the national security space (NSS) enterprise. DSG is unique at Aerospace as it not only directly supports major customers, including US Space Force, U.S Space Command, Air Force Material Command, and senior leadership at the Pentagon, but also provides a broad range of services and support across the national space enterprise, maintaining vertical responsibilities with customers but also horizontal, matrixed responsibilities across the corporation. DSG also assists the Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC) in the conception, design, acquisition, launch and operations of satellite, launch vehicle, ground control, and range systems.

The Sentinel System Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Sr. Project Engineer in the Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) SE&I branch with the Nuclear Operations Directorate (NOD) will support a development of the Sentinel ICBM for the Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center (AFNWC) Sentinel Program Office. The AFNWC Sentinel Program Office is developing replacement for the Minuteman III ICBM. The Sentinel SE&I Senior Project Engineer will actively participate in all phases of development with a focus of applying ICBM domain subject matter knowledge to develop Models-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools and architectures and ensure system integration across nuclear command and control, communications, missile, facilities, specialized transportation vehicles, product support and multiple external agency interfaces to meet weapon system lifecycle requirements. The candidate is expected to engage with senior leadership, government, government’s support contractors, and Aerospace’s Engineering and Technical Group to reducing technical risk and lifecycle cost for the program and guidance to other Aerospace entities.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Hill AFB, Utah.
