Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Technical Services Engineer to join the team. This opportunity is in Roy UT and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

What you will get to do:
  • Occasional travel (up to 10% of the time).
  • Must have excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently under limited direction within the scope of an assignment and use independent judgment in determining methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience with Bachelors; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD. Alternatively, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, with a completed investigation/reinvestigation within the last 6 years.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period as determined by the company to meet NG business needs.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience supporting a system sustainment or development program in a logistics, engineering, program management, or product support role.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience defining, implementing, or managing product support processes on a complex system or program.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in ICBM 2M0X1 (Electro-Mechanical), 2M0X2 (Missile Maintenance/Missile Handling), or 2M0X3 (Facilities Maintenance) USAF Career Specialty Codes.
  • Experience with ICBM Communications, NC3, or SACCS.
  • Experience with a sustainment or development program.
  • Understanding of Product Support processes.
  • Experience with the Sentinel program.
  • Experience with Program management or operations.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Salary

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,000.00 - $167,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
