Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal/Sr. Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer to join the Sentinel Program in Roy, UT. You will oversee supplier quality, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and interact with suppliers across the lifecycle.

The role offers a robust benefits package and a 9/80A schedule with relocation assistance possible. The position requires up to 25–50% travel, US citizenship, and an active DoD Secret clearance. This role can be filled at Principal or Sr.

Formación

• Bachelors of Science degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s degree with fewer years or PhD with minimal experience.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure the quality of products provided by suppliers.
• Develop supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Assure process and product quality including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
• Interface with supplier personnel and assess supplier quality and manufacturing processes.
• Conduct product and process verification, monitor supplier performance, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage supplier waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting.
• Keep management informed of supplier performance, status, and risks.
• Coordinate and oversee Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.
• Engage in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection for procurements.

Northrop Grumman is seeking to hire a Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer or a Sr. Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer to join the Supplier Mission Assurance team.This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel Program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

What You'll Get To Do:

In this position, the employee will be responsible for the quality of the products provided by the supplier.

• Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
• Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.
• Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process.
• Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks.
• Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.
• Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

This role can be filled at Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer(T3) or Sr. Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer(T4)

Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer: Bachelors of Science degree and 5 or more years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience or PhD with 1 years experience.

• Experience developing, planning, and implementing quality methods and strategies for procured items to assure the design, procurement, acceptance, and use of procured items.
• Experience interfacing with suppliers, customers, work associates/teams, and/or management.
• Manufacturing/engineering experience
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
• Must be able to travel up to 25-50% of the time
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Sr. Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer: Bachelors of Science degree and 8 or more years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience or PhD with 4 years experience.

• Experience developing, planning, and implementing quality methods and strategies for procured items to assure the design, procurement, acceptance, and use of procured items.
• Experience interfacing with suppliers, customers, work associates/teams, and/or management.
• Manufacturing/engineering experience
• Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
• Must be able to travel up to 25-50% of the time
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
• Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• STEM Degree
• Ability to apply problem solving/critical thinking skills to support and resolve issues at the supply base
• Demonstrated written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements and lead auditor experience to these standards.
• Extensive experience working with aerospace/defense industry suppliers onsite.
• General experience with special processes
• Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
• Six Sigma or Lean certifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
