Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Principal Program Control Analyst for the Sentinel (GBSD) program in Roy, UT. The role focuses on EVMS-based budgeting, cost performance reporting, and schedule integration within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, conduct variance analyses, and coordinate with CAMs and IPTs to ensure program cost objectives are met while maintaining compliance with security requirements.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, or Program Cost Analysis.
  • 3 years with a master's degree; or 9 years with HS diploma in lieu.
  • EVMS experience is required.
  • Experience with SAP, Cobra, and MS Project is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with program managers, functional management, and CAMs for financial support.
  • Apply EV & performance measurement baseline concepts to contracts for control accounts.
  • Establishment of Work Breakdown Structure for budgeted cost of work scheduled, assessment of performance criteria, and estimates to complete.
  • Budget baseline, funding analysis, cost risk analysis/assessment and government reporting support.
  • Support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration.
  • Perform and/or assist in financial performance analyses and visibility.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Principal Program Control Analyst to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

This is a fast-paced high energy environment that requires a self-motivated employee to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and abilities: ability to use financial systems, with understanding of EVMS principles and hands on cost performance reporting/analysis skills; develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity; analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques; work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus; exert some influence on peers and internal customers; good interpersonal skills while representing the group on special projects outside of own group.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Interface with the program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis to meet program requirements.
  • Apply Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts to multiple contracts for control accounts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Establishment of Work Breakdown Structure for execution of budgeted cost of work scheduled, assessment and maintenance of objective performance criteria, maintenance and justifications of estimates to complete, and support to internal and external reporting requirements for variance analysis.
  • Budget baseline, funding analysis, cost risk analysis/assessment and visibility reports, preparation of government cost performance reports and preparation and/or review of performance measurement variance analysis as well as development and analysis of estimates to complete.
  • Support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration.
  • Support preparation of budgets, schedules, and ETC/EAC.
  • Perform and/or assist in financial performance analyses and visibility.
Basic Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or a professional related field with ; 3 years with a master's degree; or 9 years of related experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
  • Requires experience with SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek Cobra, MS Project, and/or OneIWO
  • Requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (with Pivot tables and V-look up)
  • Requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Secret level security clearance or higher
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • 3+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience
  • Strong analytical ability, excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tas
