Position Overview

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer in Roy, UT. The position may be filled at either level based on candidate years of experience.

What You'll Get to Do

• Coordinate with suppliers, review designs, and integrate with other NG integrated product teams to ensure adherence to and implementation of requirements.
• Actively participate in design reviews, review/approve subcontract deliverables, and gauge supplier readiness to enter contractual milestones.
• Assist suppliers through a successful qualification event as a full‑time employee.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate Engineer Mechanical: BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Mechanical Engineer: BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application and within scope.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Nice to Have:

• Master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related field with 2 years of related work experience.
• Experience with project/supplier management and team integration.
• Experience with Teamcenter.
• Hands‑on experience in equipment maintenance, fabrication, assembly, power, hand and measuring tools.
• Aerospace / ICBM maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electrical subsystem design.
• Knowledge of SE design solutions ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T.

Compensation

Primary Level Salary: $59,900 – $89,900.

Secondary Level Salary: $72,100 – $108,100.

Salary is considered based on scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and long‑term incentives may be available.
