Job summary

Skyryse in Camarillo, CA seeks a Sensor Integration Engineer to develop, test, install, and integrate advanced sensors for next‑gen programs. This full‑time onsite role is based out of Camarillo, CA and involves hands‑on hardware and software work.

Responsibilities include prototyping with dSpace/SpeedGoat, modeling sensors in MATLAB/SIMULINK, and contributing to electrical design and release drawings. Ideal candidates have a STEM degree and 2+ years’ experience, with FAA/DO‑178C familiarity a

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional working experience.
• Familiarity with dSpace, SpeedGoat, LabVIEW equipment or equivalent.
• Familiarity with MATLAB and SIMULINK or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of test campaigns using rapid prototyping equipment such as dSpace, Speedgoat, LabVIEW, or similar
• Work within MATLAB / SIMULINK to model sensors including IMUs, Altimeters, and more
• Support integration procedures as defined by a vendor or stakeholder
• Troubleshoot common hardware integration issues
• Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical reviews to provide progress updates
• Assist with electrical design or software implementation for sensor-related development
• Create release drawings and schematics for installed components

SENSOR INTEGRATION ENGINEER - CAMARILLO, CA

As a Sensor Integration Engineer at Skyryse, you’ll take a hands-on role in developing, testing, installing, and integrating a broad range of advanced sensors for next-generation programs.
This is a full-time onsite opportunity based out of Camarillo, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the development of test campaigns using rapid prototyping equipment such as dSpace, Speedgoat, LabView, or similar
• Work within MATLAB / SIMULINK to model various sensors including IMUs, Altimeters, and more
• Support integration procedures as defined by a vendor or stakeholder
• Troubleshoot common hardware integration issues
• Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates
• Assist with electrical design and/or software implementation for sensor-related technology development/integration
• Create release drawings and schematics for installed component

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related disciplines.
• 2+ years of professional working experience
• Familiarity with dSpace, SpeedGoat, LabView Equipment or equivalent
• Familiarity with MATLAB and SIMULINK or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related disciplines
• Product Launch/ Full Lifecycle experience
• Prior start up working experience
• 5+ years of professional working experience
• Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, DO-331, and other FAA compliance requirement

The posted salary range reflects the potential base pay for this role, adjusted to account for varying geographic markets. Final compensation will be based on factors such as your location, job-related skills, experience, and internal alignment, including equity and benefits.
