Job summary

SAIC is seeking a highly qualified developer to design and deploy custom coded tools that extract data from APIs and present it in a dashboard for DoS mission support. You will work with a small team and coordinate with developers and DBAs, handling planning, configuration, and testing.

The role requires clear customer interaction, on-site setup initially to obtain badges, and limited on-site work thereafter. Strong experience in large enterprise networks and security is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 18+ years of experience; Master’s plus years may substitute.
• Experience implementing custom coded solutions in large enterprise networks.
• Solid understanding of end user security and authentication.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio, SQL, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Experience working directly with customers.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and deploy custom monitoring and management systems for a Cisco/Microsoft tech stack.
• Collaborate with SMEs and governance boards on deployment and integration.
• Document code usage parameters and provide evaluations and recommendations.

Description

The well qualified candidate will possess and apply comprehensive knowledge regarding the development of custom coded tools to take data from other products (through APIs) and present them in a custom defined dashboard. The candidate must be capable of working in a small team (of 3) and working independently towards a common goal. The candidate will coordinate their own development work with other developers/DBAs and manage the planning and implementation, configuration, and testing of their code and the integration of their code into the final product(s). The candidate will also provide evaluation of existing systems and recommendations as to the best solution to meet the DoS requirements.This work requires knowledge of connecting to other products through various types of APIs and will work closely with network engineering and operations teams to obtain data from their products.

The candidate must be able to work closely with the network engineering teams to complete the DoS mission of effectively and efficiently managing all network devices.The position directly supportsDoSon-site (limited) and remote to provide network engineering services to over 100,000 customers global. A qualified candidate will need to report onsite initially to obtain DoS badges and hardware as all coding will be performed on DoS hardware. On-site support will be extremely limited after this (if at all). Remote applicants will be responsible for their own stable network connections for remote connectivity using the DoS hardware.

Responsibilities Include

• Works directly with the customer or contractor management to build, design, test and deploy systemsfor monitoring and management of a network comprised ofCisco routers/switches, Microsoft servers and workstations, and a wide variety of monitoring products.
• Collaborate with technical SMEs on deployment and participate in technical working groups and contribute to technical advisory boards when necessary.
• Assist in documenting the code developed and the usage parameters of products designed.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a computer science/computer engineering related discipline and 18+ years of experience; Masters and 16 years; May accept additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience implementingcustom coded solutions in large enterprise/global networks.
• Solid understanding of end user security and authentication
• In depth experience with the following
• Visual Studio (the primary coding platform)
• SQL
• C#
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript
• Experience working directly with customers.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen andpossessa Secret clearance with upgrade ability to Top Secret at a later date.

Required Clearance

• US Citizenship.
• Active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience integrating with network management, security, and monitoring tools i.e., HP Network Automation, Micro Focus Network Automation, OpenText, Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA,Red Seal, NetBrain, Cisco ISE, Niksun, LiveAction.
• VMWare experience
• Experience with Cisco tools and network products
• Experience with Cloud technologies, Microsoft Azure/Amazon Web Services
• Experience working in small teams (3-5).

Target salary range $180,001 - $220,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
