Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Senior Zero Trust Network Architect / Principal Engineer to lead the DCSA program. The role focuses on designing and implementing ZTNA and SASE architectures, leveraging Palo Alto and Versa platforms, and guiding governance across enterprise security boundaries.

The position is primarily telework with on-site requirements at Quantico, VA two days a week, and possible onboarding time on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in network security engineering and enterprise architecture.
• 3–4 years of direct experience architecting Zero Trust frameworks (NIST SP 800-207) and SASE in federal or enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management, or related field; Master’s preferred or equivalent military experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Principal Architect for the DCSA Zero Trust journey and establish roadmaps, reference architectures, and engineering guidelines.
• Lead end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of Palo Alto GlobalProtect and Versa SASE for cloud/hybrid endpoints.
• Define and govern security policy templates within Palo Alto Panorama to enforce micro-segmentation and threat prevention.
• Collaborate with IAM to integrate ZTNA/SASE with Okta/Azure AD and SOC environments with SIEM/SOAR/EDR/XDR tools.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cybersecurity engineering team and produce HLD/LLD/SSP.
