Job summary

City of Edmonds seeks a WWTP Senior Maintenance Mechanic to perform journey-level maintenance and operation of the wastewater treatment plant. You will upgrade mechanical equipment and help ensure process controls stay within permit limits.

Qualified candidates will hold a WA Driver's License, WA Operator II certification, forklift license, CPR/First Aid, and be prepared to respond to emergencies and on-call duties. Starting pay ranges from $8,380 to $9,239 per month.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years in mechanical maintenance or related training.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Experience operating a secondary wastewater treatment plant is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform journey-level maintenance and repair of plant mechanical equipment.
• Operate and monitor pump systems, valves and process controls.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and upgrade equipment to meet permit requirements.
• Maintain records and support on-call duties as needed.
