Job summary

Lockton is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Consultant to help clients evaluate, manage, and improve their claim management programs. You will serve as a liaison among clients, carriers, and vendors, delivering actionable recommendations and ensuring timely, accurate program execution.

Key duties include analyzing claim data to identify trends, writing concise reports, coordinating with Loss Prevention, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical insurance claim management experience.
• Proficiency in evaluating, interpreting and communicating property and casualty insurance coverage.
• Ability to interact with businesspersons at all levels and communicate strategies effectively.
• Knowledge of Third Party Administrators practices and ability to build long-term client partnerships.
• Experience in evaluating accuracy of property and casualty claim reserving practices.
• Strong organizational and time management to meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency with standard office software and technology.
• Leadership and critical thinking skills for resolving complex issues.
• Strong negotiation skills to influence claim outcomes.
• Legal right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on overall management of claim program goals and objectives and positively impact results.
• Coordinate with Loss Prevention and other departments to provide unified assessments and recommendations to clients.
• Analyze data to identify claim trends and measure program performance.
• Review client claim programs and compare against best practices.
• Write reports that assess programs and recommend improvements.
• Communicate coverage and legal issues to influence claim outcomes.
• Ensure reserves are in place on files meeting criteria for review.
• Provide high-level service to clients and support Lockton’s business strategies.
• Advocate for Lockton clients with insurers and vendors while maintaining relationships.
• Build and maintain relationships with Lockton clients to attract and retain business.
• Contribute to client satisfaction and continuously improve service.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.
• Attend meetings, workshops, vendor functions, and social events.
• Travel to client, carrier, vendor or Lockton locations nationwide and manage expenses responsibly.
• Facilitate resolution of claims by acting as liaison among clients, carriers and vendors.
• Utilize public speaking to present to prospective and current clients with authority.
• Communicate complex issues concisely and provide strategic recommendations.
