Qualifications

State-licensed attorney in California with a valid bar admission.
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation statutes and application.
10+ years of workers’ compensation litigation experience.

Responsibilities

Represent Employer/Carrier before Judge of Compensation Claims and present witnesses at hearings.
Analyze complex legal issues and develop defense strategies for WC claims.
Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions and briefs supporting defense.
Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals and colleagues on legal matters.
Engage in independent judgment, research, litigation, and analysis as needed.
Assist in developing WC training materials and collaborate on special projects.
