Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of equivalent work experience in an insurance related industry.
• At least 3-5 years' experience handling lost time workers compensation claims; NJ/PA jurisdiction experience required.
• Associate in Claims (AIC) designation or similar desired.

Responsibilities

• Investigate assigned claims with minimal supervision, including complex cases.
• Determine coverage, compensability, subrogation potential, and second injury fund when applicable.
• Alert Supervisor to potentially suspect claims and manage reserves with rationale.
• Negotiate settlements with client approval and develop action plans for case resolution.
• Collaborate with PMA nurses to implement return-to-work strategies and manage vendors.
