Job summary

Blacksmith Agency, a remote-first development partner, seeks a senior Lead WordPress Developer to own end-to-end WordPress builds for US clients. You will scope work to client objectives, lead themes, templates, plugins and blocks, and drive AI-powered efficiencies across the workflow while maintaining coding excellence and client communication.

This is a client-facing senior role requiring strong English, with responsibilities spanning project scoping, development leadership, and ongoing site

Qualifications

• Strong custom WordPress and PHP, plus modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Ability to scope work and tie it to a client’s business goals.
• Real fluency using AI to drive development efficiency.
• Client-facing communication and excellent English.
• Experience leading or owning builds, not just closing tickets.

Responsibilities
