Job summary

Buck Mason in Los Angeles is seeking a experienced womenswear knit designer to lead the concept and development of the knit collection. You will report to the VP of Product & Design and collaborate with the head of department to translate trends into market-ready garments.

The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of knitwear experience, deep yarn and wash knowledge, and proficiency in Adobe Suite. You will partner with manufacturing to bring concepts from idea to finished pieces, many of which are

Qualifications

5+ years domestic and import womenswear knit experience.
Expert knowledge of yarn and knit construction.
Expert knowledge of garment wash, dye, and processing.
Expert knowledge of fabric development.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite.
Excellent knowledge of market trends and creative direction.
Excellent knowledge of vintage womenswear, military and utilitarian detailing.

Responsibilities

Direct report to VP of Product & Design.
Concept and develop Buck Mason knit collection.
Conduct fabric, color, fit, and wash research for seasonal concepts.
Execute technical sketches for initial technical packages.
Attend fittings and update all design and development information.
Work with manufacturing partners to execute product through concept, development, wash, and finishing.
