Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. seeks an experienced engineer to lead the development of next-generation cellular modem models across GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, WiFi and 5G.

You will plan and resolve ambiguous requirements, create cycle-accurate models, and collaborate with RTL, DV, systems and firmware teams to define APIs for HW DV golden references and FW virtual prototyping. Responsibilities include modeling, partitioning design between blocks/interfaces, and automation using Python, Perl, or Shell

Qualifications

• Leads, plans, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements.
• Automates model development and testing with scripting (e.g., Python, Perl, or Shell).
• Works with cross-functional teams to define Model APIs for HW DV and FW prototyping.
• Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings.

Responsibilities

• Defines, implements and unit-tests hardware models for Wireless Modem HW Data-Paths and Control Plane.
• Develops behavioral, architectural, performance and cycle-accurate models.
• Designs models with partitioning between blocks, sub-blocks and interfaces.
• Collaborates with Hardware RTL Design, Hardware DV, Systems Technology and Firmware teams.
• Spearheads automation to streamline model development, testing and integration workflows.
