Job summary

KIHOMAC is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support program managers with scheduling, data analysis, and technical reporting. You will participate in test events, help build and verify wire harness assemblies, and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 10–20 years relevant experience, and the ability to read schematics. Some travel and security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 certifications desired.
• 10–20 years of professional experience in the task area.
• Experience terminating wiring and building wiring harnesses required.
• Wiring experience on aircraft or U.S. military aircraft maintenance desired.
• Ability to read schematics, logic diagrams, layouts and prints.
• Experience with hand tools, soldering equipment and machinery.
• Must be able to travel; some longer durations possible.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Program/Project Manager in scheduling, data gathering, reports, and documentation.
• Oversee test or project events and report status/results.
• Perform assembly/test functions using mechanical skills and tools (OJT).
• Inspect wire terminations and wire harness assemblies (OJT).
• Build/assemble electrical components per designs and work instructions (OJT).
• Modify equipment per predetermined processes (OJT).
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; follow instructions and drawings.
• Document records to show compliance with tasks and wire harness manufacturing (OJT).
