Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer I to lead the power, digital, analog, and RF interconnects that turn concept boxes into complete systems.

You will own harness design from schematic to harness drawings, working closely with electrical and mechanical engineers and technicians to ensure performance and reliability, in a startup‑like, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 4 years of relevant industry or university research experience.
• Proficiency with harness design tools such as RapidHarness.
• Knowledge of wire harness design, impedance, EMC, and shielding.
• Experience with IPC-WHMA-A-620 and ISO 9001.
• Hands-on lab instrument experience such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and electronic loads.

Responsibilities

• Designing the power, digital, analog, and RF interconnects that turn boxes into systems.
• Take full ownership of wire harness designs from schematic to harness drawings.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and harness technicians throughout the design process.
• Oversee the full design lifecycle from initial specifications through integration and test.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to improve performance and reliability.
