Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and operate enterprise Windows Server datacenter technologies. You will lead architecture, troubleshooting, and support across Windows Server, AD, file services, SharePoint, and SQL Server environments.

Ideal candidates possess strong communication, sound technical judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while mentoring other team members and adhering to IT processes.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in IT, CS or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Windows administration with server focus.
• 4+ years designing, implementing and supporting enterprise server solutions.
• Strong Active Directory administration incl. GPO design & troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows Server platforms (2019/2022/2025).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise infra issues and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and support enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Design and maintain Windows Server architecture and AD-integrated services.
• Manage Windows file services, permissions, DFS, and access governance.
• Administer Microsoft 365 SharePoint environments and integrations.
• Administer SQL Server environments: install, configure, maintain, backup/restore.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Windows servers for critical apps.
• Participate in server lifecycle: patching, upgrades, capacity planning.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for Windows Server, SharePoint, SQL.
• Develop support structures: roles, runbooks, and admin training.
• Provide Tier-3 escalation support for Windows Server, file systems, SharePoint, SQL.
• Mentor colleagues to grow IT department capabilities.
