Job summary

Aechelon Technology, Inc. in South San Francisco, CA is seeking a Windows infrastructure engineer to design, automate, and scale Windows-based storage platforms and related tooling.

You will work with storage technologies like Storage Spaces Direct and contribute to CI/CD and automation across deployment pipelines. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of Windows Server experience, strong PowerShell skills, and a focus on automation, security tooling, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Windows Server deployment environments or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy and Windows clustering.
• Experience with Storage Spaces Direct and authentication systems.
• Proficient in PowerShell and automation; infrastructure-as-code mindset.
• Good troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
• Experience with hardware/software integrated systems and security tooling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to build and maintain scalable Windows-based storage systems.
• Refine standardized Windows Server deployments for customer delivery.
• Support clustering, failover, and high-availability within platform designs.
• Contribute input on performance, scalability, and reliability decisions.
• Develop automation for provisioning, configuration management, deployments, validation, and lifecycle management.
• Develop PowerShell automation and expand into APIs and other scripting languages.
• Improve tooling to reduce manual configuration and support deterministic builds.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for Windows-based platform builds.
• Document designs, release notes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides.
