Job summary

ManTech seeks a Senior Windows Engineer in Laurel, MD to manage enterprise Windows infrastructure for a national security program. You will administer AD, GPOs, and VMware Horizon environments, ensure security controls, and support patching, monitoring, and incident response for a diverse, mission-focused team.

Required TS/SCI w/ Poly, PowerShell automation, and experience with DISA STIGs. Onsite work schedule includes core hours with extended coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification
• Experience with Active Directory & GPO Administration
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools like SaltStack
• Experience with VMware virtualization and Horizon (Omnissa Horizon)

Responsibilities

• Provision, manage, and support Windows servers across online and air-gapped networks
• Configure network adapters, storage, firewalls, and core services
• Deploy monitoring tools to detect system anomalies and prevent service disruptions
• Perform root cause analysis on outages and implement preventive fixes
• Support hardware, software, and appliance deployments, upgrades, and security patching
• Translate user requirements and system architectures into technical specifications
• Provide Tier 1-3 help desk support for client, server, and network issues
• Manage OS patching, hardware maintenance, and account administration (passwords/tickets)

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Windows Engineer, to join our team in Laurel, MD.

Become an integral part of a diverse team that delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provision, manage, and support Windows servers across online and air-gapped networks.
• Configure network adapters, storage, firewalls, and connected core services.
• Deploy monitoring tools to detect system anomalies and prevent service disruptions.
• Perform root cause analysis on outages and implement preventive fixes.
• Support hardware, software, and appliance deployments, upgrades, and security patching.
• Translate user requirements and system architectures into technical specifications.
• Provide Tier 1-3 help desk support for client, server, and network issues.
• Manage OS patching, hardware maintenance, and account administration (passwords/tickets).

Schedule:

• Core hours are 1000-1400 Monday-Friday to ensure overlap with the team, attendance is expected outside of this window as needed to support meetings, deployments, and team activities.
• The system administration team is expected to have on-site coverage 0600-1800 Monday-Friday and schedules will be coordinated with other members of the team to ensure this coverage.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience, associate's degree and 15 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 20 years of relevant experience.
• Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience with Active Directory & GPO Administration
• Experience with tools such as SaltStack for Infrastructure Automation
• Experience with VMware virtualization and VDI deployments utilizing Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon)
• Experience with Privileged Access Management (PAM): Implement and maintain tools such as Centrify to enforce security controls and meet compliance standards.

Preferred Technical Qualifications:

• Experience with PowerShell for task automation and configuration management
• Experience managing secure computing environments to adhere with DISA STIGs and NIST 800-53 controls.
• Experience with Ansible (environment is currently utilizing SALT but will transition to Ansible in the future)
• Experience with Linux and RedHat

Clearance Requirement:

• Must have a TS/SCI with Polygraph

The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
