Job summary

Moog in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design and implement welding processes for electron beam and orbital welding, and to support complex assemblies and machined parts for weld. You will create CNC programs, write operation sheets, and drive continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent) and strong knowledge of welding, tooling design, and CNC documentation; EB and orbital

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with extensive experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of welding processes, tooling design, and quality control methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; lean experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement welding processes that meet quality and cost objectives.
• Team with Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly & Test to optimize fixturing for weldability.
• Collaborate with vendors for manufacturing of the design.
• Develop and maintain CNC programs and process documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
• Drive lean process improvements and mentor junior engineers.
