Job summary

RadNet, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Welder T3 to perform complex welding tasks with minimal supervision. You will execute SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW across positions per AWS D1.1, interpret advanced blueprints, and ensure structural integrity and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include take-offs from shop drawings, equipment setup, quality checks, and maintaining production records. Onsite role requiring a high degree of precision and adherence to Lean/QMS standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5-7 years’ experience or formal training in mechanics, welding, or machining.
  • Must obtain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Must obtain working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and weld symbol interpretation.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with structural and sheet metal welding and related fabrication processes.

Job description

The Welder T3 is a highly skilled role responsible for performing complex welding tasks with minimal supervision. This position requires full proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes in all positions to AWS D1.1 code, and the ability to interpret advanced blueprints and specifications. The Welder IV ensures structural integrity, precision, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Perform take-offs and establish cut list from shop drawings, and shop order pages.
  • Determine the appropriate equipment or method based on the provided requirements.
  • Cut and work material using tools such as: oxygen/fuel cutting, horizontal band saw, iron worker, plate sheer, drill press, and various hand power tools.
  • Layout assemblies and fabrications to be tacked and welded.
  • Inspect completed welds for structural soundness and compliance with specifications
  • Set up, calibrate, and maintain welding equipment
  • Perform welds using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes in all positions to AWS D1.1 code.
  • Load and unload material from trucks to storage area and move material within workspace using forklifts.
  • Operate overhead crane and/or assist with the rigging and moving of parts as required.
  • Maintain necessary quality checks, record and complete process documentation and any other production and inspection records as required.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, process sheets, shop order pages, and other forms of verbal and written communication.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  • Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Document production data and maintain records of work performed
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and Quality Management initiatives.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.


Preferredwork experience requirements;

  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Requires 5-7 years’ experience or formal training in one of the following disciplines; mechanic, welding, machining
  • Must obtain a valid Driver’s License
  • Must obtain working knowledge of AWS D1.1, and AWS weld symbol interpretation
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
  • Profieciney in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools
  • Must be familiar with structural, and sheet metalwelding, forming and various other fabrication processes
