Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking an experienced Welder/Pipefitter to join our growing team on alternative fuel projects in California. You will work on stainless and carbon steel piping, ASME B31.3 systems, and perform GTAW and GMAW welding in demanding positions.

The role requires reading blueprints, setting up components, and ensuring weld quality and safety. A high school diploma or GED and a welding certificate are preferred, with 5+ years of experience and NDT capability

Qualifications

• 5+ years welding experience, stainless and carbon steel piping/pressure vessels.
• Ability to pass NDT on weld performed in 6G position.
• Thorough understanding of blueprints and ability to work from written and verbal instruction.
• Demonstrated ability to perform with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Stainless and carbon steel pipe installation and welding per ASME B31.3.
• Weld components using GTAW and GMAW in 6G position.
• Read drawings, determine layout, and prepare materials and equipment.
• Set up components and weld with appropriate equipment and positions.
• Inspect welded surfaces and maintain safety of equipment and work site.
• Repair machinery by welding and filling gaps as required.
