Job summary

Ping, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Senior Welder to perform welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric equipment in support of Manufacturing Engineering Equipment and Facilities Metal Structures. Relocation assistance is provided; reside in the Phoenix metro area.

The role requires GMAW and GTAW proficiency, sheet metal fabrication experience, and strong adherence to fabrication tolerances. You will work with the fabrication team and maintain project trackers to ensure timely

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years welding experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License.
  • Forklift Certificate.
  • GMAW and GTAW welding proficiency.
  • Surface preparation and welding setup knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Receive instructions and work orders; plan procedures and material needs.
  • Collaborate with sheet metal fabrication team to optimize bends and welds.
  • Maintain Fabrication Project Tracker and ensure tolerances.

PING, Inc. is seeking a Senior Welder that will be responsible for performing welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment in support of Manufacturing Engineering Equipment and Facilities Metal Structures.. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided.

YOU WILL:

  • Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
  • Work with the Sheet Metal fabrication team to determine best path to fabricate sheet metal components and assemblies. Optimizes fabrication for sheet metal bends and welding.
  • Maintain Fabrication Project Tracker.
  • Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
  • Maintain engineering tolerances to ensure wear and tear performance on equipment to be welded.
  • Repair equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
  • Use burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Be assigned to dismantle or cut up obsolete machinery, setting aside parts for scrap dealer.

YOU HAVE:

  • High School Diploma or GED or completion of formal apprenticeship program, plus a minimum 6 years’ welding experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current Arizona Driver's License.
  • Forklift Operations Certificate.
  • Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
  • Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
  • Proficiency in surface preparation, set up, and sequence of welding components for proper alignment. Proficient with the disassembly process of components that reach end of life that require restoration and repair through welding.
  • Demonstrated experience in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tugsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
