Job summary

Citi Bank seeks an experienced Blockchain Developer in the New York / Jersey City area to design, develop, and deploy Web3 components for Citi's Digital Asset Platform, including smart contracts, wallet solutions, and asset infrastructure.

You will build backend services connecting to public and permissioned networks, test and audit secure contracts, and collaborate with global teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in blockchain and Web3 technologies.
• Experience with smart contract design, testing, and audits.
• Proficient in backend development with Java/Spring or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with Ethereum, Besu or Corda.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate Web3 components, smart contracts and blockchain protocols.
• Develop backend services connecting to public and permissioned blockchain networks.
• Build, test and audit secure and gas-efficient smart contracts.
• Implement event-driven architectures for on-chain events and transaction lifecycle management.
• Support digital asset custody, tokenization and DeFi/TradFi integrations.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on scalable and secure Web3 infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation and Agile/Scrum delivery.
