The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.

About the Role

Join Dexcom’s global web engineering team, building the digital experiences behind Dexcom.com and Stelo.com. Our work supports products that help people better understand and manage their health.

We’re looking for a hands‑on Senior Web Platform Developer who enjoys building reliable software and helping other engineers succeed.

You’ll contribute to architecture and technical decisions, ship production code, improve testing and delivery practices, and work with business partners to translate their needs into practical solutions.

This is an individual‑contributor role. Technical leadership means mentoring, thoughtful code reviews, and leading by example—not managing direct reports.

What You’ll Do
  • design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and services using Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, including event-driven architectures and integrations.
  • help shape technical designs and engineering standards, balancing business needs with maintainability, security, and reliability.
  • mentor engineers and provide constructive code reviews that improve both the software and the team’s capabilities.
  • build and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment practices to make releases safer and more repeatable.
  • develop and support cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform; experience with AWS is also valued.
  • partner with Marketing and other business teams to clarify requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • collaborate with engineers across North America and overseas teams, supporting effective delivery across time zones.
  • work with platform vendors to resolve issues, improve service quality, and advocate for Dexcom’s needs.
  • contribute to planning and delivery, identify risks early, and follow through on production issues and preventive improvements.
  • maintain clear technical documentation so teammates and new hires can understand, operate, and extend the systems we build.
What You Bring
  • seven or more years of experience developing and delivering production software, including at least three years providing technical leadership or mentoring engineers.
  • strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • hands‑on experience designing and working with event-driven architectures.
  • experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and working with a major cloud platform such as GCP or AWS.
  • experience collaborating with geographically distributed engineering teams.
  • strong communication skills and experience working directly with non-technical business stakeholders.
  • sound problem‑solving skills, independent judgment, and ownership of your work from implementation through production.
  • experience using Jira or a similar tool to plan and track engineering work.
  • proficient in both Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • experience with React, Node.js, Django, or Flask.
  • experience with cloud services such as Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Secret Manager, or comparable AWS services.
  • experience with automated testing, application security, dependency scanning, and secrets management.
  • experience developing software in healthcare, medical‑device, or other regulated environments.
What you’ll get:
  • A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.
  • Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community.
  • A full and comprehensive benefits program.
  • Growth opportunities on a global scale.
  • Access to career development through in‑house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.
  • An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
