Job summary

Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Staff Engineer for Wearables in the San Diego/Santa Clara region. You’ll design, develop, validate and optimize embedded software and wearable platform components, collaborating with hardware and software teams to meet performance goals.

The role requires strong C++ expertise, multi-core and heterogenous architectures experience, and a track record of delivering robust wearable software for consumer devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for more senior roles; PhD also considered.
• 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate wearables use cases into software design and implementation.
• Develop production code and embedded software for wearable platforms with high quality and maintainability.
• Lead code reviews, ensure CI/CD integration, and drive performance analysis and optimization.
