Job summary

Brady seeks a Senior Advanced Acoustic Engineer – Hardware Engineering to lead acoustic system design for industrial audio wearables from concept through production. You will collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Design, Platform/DSP teams to deliver rugged, high-performance audio solutions.

The role emphasizes extreme environmental reliability, speech intelligibility, PPE integration, and compliance with safety standards. Limited international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in acoustics, mechanical, physics or electrical engineering.
• 8+ years of acoustics or electroacoustics engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead acoustic and system design from concept to production for industrial audio products.
• Design audio systems that perform across -40°C to +50°C and high humidity.
• Develop ruggedization features such as IP protection against dust and water ingress.
• Ensure performance in environments with ESD exposure and high RF signals.
• Align with PPE integration for comfort and usability over extended periods.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to influence product architecture and components.
• Contribute to DSP strategies for audio quality and speech recognition.
• Define microphone placement, architecture and supplier partnerships.
