The Air Combat Effectiveness Consulting Group (ACE Group), LLC is hiring for a Systems Engineer position based in Lexington Park, Maryland. This role requires leading System Engineering processes for LRASM C3 development and supporting various engineering reviews. The ideal candidate will have over 6 years of experience in military systems engineering and a bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts in System Engineering processes on LRASM C3 development.
  • Capture requirements and develop a requirements traceability matrix.
  • Provide support for System Engineering Technical Reviews and flight test planning.
  • Administer technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
  • Monitor performance relative to program milestones and requirements.
  • Manage program-related engineering information and documentation.
  • Provide support for requirements management and develop technical documentation.
  • Conduct independent technical review of program documentation.

The successful candidate will be one who attacks new problem sets with enthusiasm and persistence, is an adept learner, and is able to graft new concepts and applications into their core of technical expertise while operating as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Lead efforts in System Engineering processes on LRASM C3 development efforts

  • Lead capturing of requirements and development of a requirements traceability matrix and test metrics to support model development and testing efforts.
  • Provide support for planning and conducting System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), Test and Evaluation support including flight test planning, scheduling, flight clearances, and system/subsystem certification.
  • Administer and lead technical interchange meetings, working groups and design reviews.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor performance relative to program milestones and assess timeliness of deliverables and conformance to requirements.
  • Resolve issues, tasks and action items; manage, archive and organize program-related engineering information and documentation; and utilize joint Contractor / Government best practices to vet and resolve aviation-specific engineering challenges with program management and logistics personnel.
  • Provide support for requirements management by researching, analyzing, collecting and developing presentations to support the development of the technical requirements for the air platforms, weapon systems and related subsystems they will be supporting.
  • Provide system engineering expertise on system architecture, interface, and integration management.
  • Conduct independent technical review of program documentation.
  • Oversight and coordination of configuration requirements.
  • Advise on technical risks and opportunities to program objectives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering of military aircraft and/or weapons systems
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline
  • Requires at least 10% of travel
