Job summary

ADC Water is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Technical Lead in Mesa, AZ. This role owns project outcomes across the full lifecycle from scoping to startup, providing hands-on engineering judgment and team mentorship.

The candidate should bring deep water/wastewater expertise, a PE license in Arizona, and proven experience sealing plan sets with strong client interaction. The position offers full-time, on-site work with total compensation in the 150k–200k range, reflecting senior responsibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering.
• 12+ years professional engineering experience in water/wastewater projects.
• Active PE license in Arizona.
• NCEES Record for multistate licensure.
• Experience sealing water/wastewater plan sets.
• Proven ownership of complete project lifecycles.
• Hands-on water/wastewater design experience.
• Mechanical-design QA/QC experience.
• Experience coordinating across civil, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, SCADA.
• Direct client-facing experience.
• Field experience in construction/startup.
• Ability to work independently via email/Teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead water and wastewater projects from definition through design, permitting, bidding, construction support, startup, and closeout.
• Serve as day-to-day technical owner for assigned projects without a separate PM/QA layer.
• Provide multi-disciplinary design leadership and QA/QC oversight.
• Coordinate across civil, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, and SCADA.
• Seal plan sets and own projects within your competence.
• Manage permitting and regulatory coordination and client communications.
