Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support preconstruction and construction efforts on water, wastewater, and advanced water treatment projects in the Seattle, Washington metro area. You will assist with procurement, documentation, drawings, permits, RFIs, and project controls while coordinating with management and field teams.

The role emphasizes collaboration, accurate reporting, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years in construction, design and project management.
• Experience on heavy civil or industrial construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction materials, drawings, specs and standards.
• Ability to work within a team and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with PM databases such as Primavera, Expedition, SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to project management and supervision to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, package development, layout, and material procurement.
• Prepare and review submittals, reports, sketches and change orders.
• Develop drawings, work methods, and estimates to support construction.
• Process RFIs and obtain necessary permits prior to work.
• Maintain project documentation and office procedures for contract administration.
• Review contractor claims, assist with change orders and claims records.
• Support estimating with quantity takeoffs and vendor outreach.
