Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects seeks a licensed Senior Civil Engineer to lead municipal and stormwater projects in Omaha, NE. You will oversee design, permitting, and construction, mentoring staff and maintaining client relationships.

The role requires Nebraska PE licensure (or within six months) and extensive water resources experience. Proficiency with CAD tools and drainage software is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in water resources including stormwater drainage.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Nebraska or ability to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; MicroStation/OpenRoads desirable.
• Experience with drainage software such as HEC-RAS, PC-SWMM, SRH2D, FLOD2D, InfoWorks ICM, HY-8.
• Experience in drainage analysis, planning, and facility design.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Existing relationships with Omaha-area clients preferred.

Job description

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a licensed professional Civil Engineer to join our team in Omaha. With support from other leaders in the region, this role will serve as a Senior Engineer for Municipal and Stormwater projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage design, permitting, and construction services for the assigned project efficiently and responsibly.
• Manage project delivery from start to finish, without oversight, to meet project quality, schedule, and cost commitments, delegating work to junior and mid-level staff as appropriate.
• Complete site designs, perform hydraulics and hydrology calculations, and design stormwater infrastructure, grading, erosion control, & drainage plans.
• Actively participate and adhere to our safety program and ensure that all team members are as well.
• Manage and mentor junior staff to see that designs and plans are appropriately compiled, on time, and in a quality fashion.
• Will be required to maintain positive client relationships regularly.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in water resources, including stormwater drainage.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nebraska, or ability to obtain within six months. Surrounding regions is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, experience with MicroStation OpenRoads is desirable.
• Experience with drainage-related software programs such as HEC-RAS, PC-SWMM, SRH2D, FLOD2D, InfoWorks ICM, HY-8, and others.
• Experience and proficiency in performing drainage analysis, drainage planning, and drainage facility design.
• Have a collaborative mindset and capable of working with staff from various backgrounds and experiences.
• Existing relationships with clients in Omaha and the surrounding area are preferred.

Job Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Salary: $145,000.00 - $185,000.00+ Depending on Experience
