About the role

This position as a Senior Water Engineer supports data center construction programs, focusing on water engineering for site due diligence and water distribution and treatment systems. It is a remote role with minimal travel required.

What you’ll do

1. Review and assist in the technical development of due diligence and campus plan studies.
2. Develop and optimize engineering programs for site planning.
3. Create site planning standards and tools to streamline design processes.
4. Analyze utility data, identify optimizations, and present recommendations.
5. Assist in developing water policies and enforcement strategies.
6. Review utility agreements and provide technical guidance.
7. Plan onsite infrastructure following owner standards.
8. Coordinate scope with multiple trades.
9. Communicate complex ideas clearly through various digital mediums.
10. Work directly with clients on project scope, resources, costs, schedules, quality, and risks.
11. Define project delivery resources, conduct RFPs, evaluate bids, and recommend resources.
12. Develop project charters and timelines.
13. Guide project implementation and completion, developing new methods for efficiency.
14. Mentor team members to develop expertise.
15. Lead by example, embodying CBRE RISE values, and influence stakeholders.
16. Contribute to the development of new products, processes, and standards.
17. Effectively communicate complex ideas and influence outcomes.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

1. Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 8-10 years of experience, or equivalent experience and education.
2. At least 4 years of experience in utility project planning, design, and construction.
3. Knowledge of large-scale data center infrastructure, utility systems is beneficial.
4. Understanding of the commercial real estate industry and related disciplines.
5. Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams.
6. Innovative mindset to develop new methods and solutions.
7. Ability to solve unique problems with broad impact.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and inquisitiveness.

Additional Information

Effective January 1, 2025, CBRE Project Management and Turner & Townsend are consolidated into a single entity. The salary range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000 annually, based on skills and experience. Benefits include 401(K), dental, health, life, and vision insurance.
