Job summary

Brevard County is seeking a skilled wastewater treatment plant supervisor for the North Area/Port St. John WWTP. The role supervises daily operations, maintenance, and staff, and prepares required records and reports.

Requires a Florida-certified wastewater operator with minimum four years of experience, plus a high school diploma. The position offers full-time employment, a salary $29.01–$31.91 hourly, and standard county benefits. Expect standby, overtime, and holiday work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus four years as a certified wastewater operator.
• Associates degree in a science-related field preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred; two years in mechanical repair of wastewater equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operation and routine maintenance of a Class B or smaller wastewater treatment plant.
• Oversee daily activities of treatment plant staff and compile required records and reports.
• Provide general supervision of Treatment Plant Operator/Mechanics.
