Job summary

Arvato Bertelsmann is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage labor and equipment for a warehouse department. You will plan, organize, and monitor receipt, storage, and distribution of items from suppliers, while prioritizing orders and training staff.

The role emphasizes leadership, KPI-driven performance, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Candidates should have warehouse experience and SAP/WMS knowledge to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Fast-paced, high-volume warehouse experience preferred.
• Knowledge of picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent WMS systems.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and analytical skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with inventory research.
• Team-oriented.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train new department staff.
• Supervise and coordinate floor activities and staff.
• Receive and transfer materials.
• Manage staff KPIs and performance.
• Document and ensure procedures and quality processes.
• Maintain supplies and equipment levels.
• Adhere to customer and vendor shipping requirements.
• Update timekeeping and metrics in WMS reporting.
• Complete shift-end procedures and closeout.
• Support new customer integration and testing.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Coordinate traffic and shipments.
• Drive process improvements across the department.
• Adhere to safety and 5S guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks to ensure efficiency and safety.
