Senior Warehouse Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to oversee material handling, logistics systems, and inventory management supporting large-scale, fast-paced projects in the Richmond area.
This role requires a highly analytical, organized, and solutions-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys driving operational excellence through process improvement and data-driven decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics and warehouse operation systems to optimize product handling, storage, inventory management, and shipping efficiency.
- Design project site layouts and product flow systems; evaluate and recommend new equipment to improve productivity and safety.
- Maintain a safe, compliant work environment through established policies, procedures, and adherence to all regulatory standards.
- Manage property security, inventory logs, and vendor coordination to ensure consistent and accurate material flow.
- Lead the development of 3‑week lookahead schedules for material needs and deliveries to support multiple active projects.
- Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound materials, collaborating with QC and production to handle non‑conforming materials (RMA, RTV, Holds, etc.).
- Oversee documentation and implementation of controls aligned with ISO9001, ISO27001, CMMI, and UL standards.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and external partners to meet operational and project goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse management.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, strong analytical, forecasting, and reporting capabilities required.
- Demonstrated experience managing processes, cycle counting, and operational performance metrics.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and vendors.
- Local travel required.
