Wesco is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Associate for our Alsip, IL distribution facility. You will perform specialized wire cutting and other value-added warehouse services, operating a cutting machine to prepare wire and related materials for customer orders.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and moving material safely, plus using a forklift or reach truck. The role offers day, afternoon, and evening shifts and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of warehouse operations experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Calculate wire cutting length based on desired completion footage.
• Visually inspect wire for imperfections and part number accuracy.
• Maintain the wire aisle/wall in an orderly manner, follow housekeeping duties and safety requirements.
• Load, unload and move material in a safe manner manually or by using a forklift or other approved device.

We are hiring immediately for an experienced warehouse worker as a Senior Warehouse Associate at our distribution facility. Your experience and knowledge of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, and light assembly shows how it impacts others. We are Wesco. Shift:Day, Afternoon & Evening Shifts Are Available. Start times for 2nd Shift vary by department and range from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Transportation:This location is conveniently located near major bus routes, making it easily accessible by public transportation. Please check routes and schedules to ensure shift compatibility.

A Day in The Life of a Senior Warehouse Associate

As a Senior Warehouse Associate you will be performing specialized wire cutting applications and other value added services within the warehouse such as subsequent manufacturing and assembling ready to install products. You will be responsible for operating a cutting machine to cut, prepare and ship specialized wire, cable and related materials to our customers’ orders.

Education & Experience

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• 1 year of warehouse operations experience preferred
• Reach truck experience preferred
