Accounting Search is assisting a global Am Law 100 employment defense firm in Irvine, CA to hire an Associate Attorney focused on wage and hour litigation. The role centers on sophisticated California wage and hour disputes, including class, collective, and representative actions, with substantial ownership of matters.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of litigation experience, a California Bar admission, and a JD from an ABA‑accredited school, with proven writing and advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience with strong wage & hour defense background.
• Strong foundation in California employment law and Wage & Hour issues (PAGA, FLSA).
• Experience with discovery, depositions, motions, and complex legal writing.

Responsibilities

• Develop litigation strategy and manage matters from initial assessment through resolution.
• Take and defend depositions and oversee written discovery.
• Research, draft, and argue dispositive and class-related motions.
• Prepare pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Evaluate and develop strategy for representative actions under PAGA.
• Analyze wage/hour issues including employee classification and wage statements.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues across the labor & employment practice.
