Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Wafer Test Hardware Engineer in Fremont, CA, to advance test equipment for prototype machines and scale testing globally. You will work with Design, Silicon, Data/IS, and Manufacturing teams to ensure quality and reliability meet Google's standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in writing semiconductor functional tests with register-level reads/writes and validation on production data.
• 2 years proven experience with wafer-level probe technologies, including troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Experience validating hardware and software paths with step-by-step component validation.

Responsibilities

• Drive the specification process for a parallel wafer-level test tool with internal teams on pad accommodations and bring-up plans.
• Define and execute hardware/software validation paths, verifying vendor components independently from the full solution.
• Define input/output data streams with vendors and coordinate test/IS infrastructure to manage large die-level datasets.
• Define operational flow, integrate reliability tool with MES, and establish SOPs.
