Job summary

LPL Holdings Inc. is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Management Engineer to mature and execute the existing vulnerability program across the enterprise and its subsidiaries.

You will collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, engineering, and application teams, and with third-party vendors to ensure vulnerabilities are effectively managed. Responsibilities include leading remediation processes, guiding risk-based decisions, and driving initiatives to enhance the vulnerability management program

Qualifications

• 5+ years of practical experience in information security within a large enterprise environment.
• 5+ years of vulnerability management experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g. Qualys, InsightVM/Rapid7, Wiz, Nessus)

Responsibilities

• Perform as a vulnerability management SME in one or more areas: Microsoft, Open Systems, virtualization, Networking, Databases, and Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google).
• Lead efforts to define/implement processes and track open vulnerabilities from identification to resolution.
• Lead and drive large initiatives with enterprise level visibility to improve the program.
• Partner with security and IT to assess impact and implement mitigating controls.
• Identify and recommend measures to manage vulnerabilities and reduce risk to senior management.
• Build partnerships with technical teams to promote best practices in cloud and agile environments.
• Champion vulnerability management and security awareness across the organization.
• Assist with management and maintenance of vulnerability management platforms/tools.
• Review, implement, and maintain cloud security posture management policies.
• Partner with Security Engineering to manage CSPM tools for automated security scanning of cloud resources.
• Understand vulnerability exploitation techniques and stay up-to-date on vulnerabilities.
• Develop and improve KPIs, metrics, and trending for vulnerability management.
• Participate and lead new projects as needed.
