Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior VP of Product Management (Data) to lead the Asset Owner data product strategy from Boston, NYC, or Lake Mary. You will set the vision for data capabilities, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure delivery across the full product lifecycle, partnering with clients to translate business needs into scalable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years of overall experience in relevant roles.
Deep subject matter knowledge in data management and exposure to performance measurement, attribution, and related processes in investment operations.
Experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, platform delivery, or business transformation within financial services.
Ability to define business requirements, manage competing priorities, and translate strategic objectives into clear execution plans.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align across business, technology, operations, risk, and compliance partners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex processes and organizational structures.
Experience working in agile delivery environments and leading or coordinating cross-functional teams.
Preferred experience in performance measurement and attribution at an asset manager or asset owner.
Preferred experience working with AI in product development.
Preferred experience with business process design, operational workflows, controls, and data dependencies in complex environments.

Responsibilities

Set the product vision for data and channel distribution across Performance & Compliance solutions.
Lead a cross-functional pod spanning business, technology, and operations to deliver the product vision.
Define target-state data capabilities, workflows, and processes to improve scalability, transparency, and efficiency.
Gather, document, and refine business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery to ongoing enhancement.
Partner with clients and stakeholders to identify data needs, challenges, and risks.
Use metadata, metrics, and feedback to evaluate outcomes and improve product performance.
