Job summary

A technology solutions provider is seeking a skilled Virtualization Engineer to manage VMware environments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of IT experience and hold a VCP 6.x certification. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting VMware environments, as well as optimizing the stability and security of storage networks. This is a full-time position located in Wichita, Kansas, requiring active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Five years of related professional IT experience.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot distributed vSwitches.
• Knowledge of maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure VMware environments.
• Troubleshoot issues with ESXi and vCenter.
• Optimize stability and security of the Storage Network.

Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of VMware 6.x environments

Ability to troubleshoot ESXi & vCenter

Experience with multiple vendor's Storage (SAN/NAS)

Proficiency in troubleshooting complex multi-platform anomalies

Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot backup and restoral services

Education

VCP 6.x VMware Certified Professional certification
