Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a talented Software Engineer to join a small team building high-impact VLSI CAD software in a challenging, agile environment. You will help shape architecture, design, and implementation for core design tools and workflows used across NVIDIA’s product lines.

The role emphasizes C++/Java/C#, modern platforms, and collaboration with global engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable desktop applications and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• MS CS/CPE or BS CS/CPE (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in CAD/EDA tool development.
• Expert with CAD data structures and algorithms for physical VLSI design automation.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or C#.
• Knowledge of modern software platforms and tools (C++20, Java 21, git, IDEs, unit test frameworks, CI/CD).
• Strong OO design and software architecture skills.
• Interest in AI-enabled environments and modern design practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, review, test, and support high-capacity chip design and visualization tools.
• Write high-quality code for desktop engineering applications.
• Participate in agile development practices with the team.
• Collaborate with internal engineering customers to envision new tools and requirements.
