Job summary

IDEO Cambridge Studio is seeking a Senior Visual Interaction Designer passionate about elegant user experiences and strong visual craft. You will shape how experiences look, feel, and behave across complex design systems, software, services, and interactions.

You’ll translate human-centered insights into clear, compelling interactions and interfaces, balancing visual excellence with usability and contributing a distinct visual voice to each design challenge within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showing visual excellence and thoughtful interaction design.
• Clear point of view on typography, color, layout, and motion.
• Comfort with varying fidelity from rough explorations to production-ready designs.
• Experience delivering low and high fidelity prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a diverse portfolio across data, experience, interaction, digital product, and service design.
• Work through all project phases from research synthesis to production-ready execution.
• Translate insights into interaction models, visual systems, and polished interfaces.
• Create looks-like/works-like prototypes to test ideas and communicate concepts.
